About Maripaz Mejia Rojas

Hailing from Costa Rica’s Central Valley, Maripaz Mejia Rojas is a marketing coordinator with KRAIN Luxury Real Estate, Costa Rica where she works side-by-side with the company’s cofounders and agents, overseeing every facet of day-to-day, company-wide communication -- from social media oversight to digital marketing.

Maripaz, who is fluent in English and Spanish, studied photography and audio-visual production at Universidad Técnica Nacional (The National Technical University), one of Costa Rica’s most prestigious public universities. It’s also the only college in Central America that offers a degree in photography, so she was among some of the region’s most elite students while studying the art form. Mejia also pursued a degree in digital marketing with an emphasis in social media at Tecnológico de Costa Rica (The Costa Rica Institute of Technology), another one of the country’s most revered public universities. Mejia went on to earn the “Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto” (Ministry of External Relations and Worship) scholarship to one of Spain’s top business universities, Madrid-based EUDE Business School. She is currently enrolled in EUDE’s online program, working to complete her master’s degree. 

 

A tremendous athlete, she has been playing sports since childhood. In addition to being a half-marathon runner, she is an avid cyclist and currently trains six days a week for competitive, long-distance races. A film and fine art enthusiast, Rojas has held numerous photography jobs, capturing everything from marine life to cityscapes and grand-scale events.
