Hacienda Pinilla is a sprawling resort south of Tamarindo with a golf course and beach club, offering real estate sales, vacation rentals and all kinds of amenities.
The 4,500-acre Hacienda Pinilla is home to the
J.W. Marriott Guanacaste Resort & Spa, a pet-friendly hotel with multiple restaurants and bars, a fitness center, spa and huge infinity pool.
The 18-hole, par-72 golf course designed by Mike Young plays up to 7,200 yards, winding through dry tropical forest along the shores of the ocean. The golf course has a pro shop, restaurant and bar and offers club rentals and golf instruction.
You can also hone your tennis skills at Pinilla’s Tennis Center, with two courts and top-quality playing surfaces. The tennis pro here is Halais Sylvain, who played in the French national championships from 2002-2017. The club offers private, semi-private, group and kids’ lessons, as well as racket rentals.
Other popular activities here include horseback riding and mountain biking.
The Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club has a restaurant, bar, pool, and fitness center, with direct access to the lovely Playa Avellanas.
Pinilla sells sumptuous homes starting in the $700,000 range, with some up to $2.5 million. It also offers a wide variety of luxury vacation rentals. Hacienda Pinilla is a half-hour drive from Tamarindo.
