About Ryan Hickey

Ryan Hickey is a top-producing real estate associate with KRAIN Luxury Real Estate, Costa Rica, boasting more than two decades of industry experience. Born in Alberta, Canada, and having lived in Vancouver, British Columbia for many years, his passion for real estate runs deep. Ryan cut his teeth in the marketplace with the hands-on management of a successful string of condo remodels -- distressed properties that were renovated for resale. Leveraging those back-to-back achievements, he quickly expanded into project management, converting older apartment buildings into modern, individually titled condominium units. Eventually, Ryan went on to launch his own home renovation company in Vancouver, which became a booming entity. He also became a licensed realtor there, completing the University of British Columbia’s and Real Estate Council of BC’s prestigious “Real Estate Trading Services Licensing”
course. Simultaneously, Ryan dabbled in commercial real estate, owning and operating apartment buildings. 

Hickey partnered with his wife, Chrissy Hickey, and together, they have remodeled and sold a myriad of properties -- from one bedroom condominium units to multi-million- dollar single-family homes. Ryan, his wife, and their three children ultimately decided to make a move to Costa Rica, expanding their work to the pristine shores of the country’s Guanacaste Province. His hands-on experience in renovation and property management, while simultaneously staying ahead of market trends, has made him a valuable authority on property sales – consistently sought-after for his expertise and marketplace know-how.
